Oracle Cancer Trust supports ground-breaking research into head and neck cancer. We fund innovative research projects into clinical best practice and surgical techniques that aim to make a significant difference to the lives of our patients. Our aim is to source stable and predictable funding for our selected research projects so that we can commit to multi-year research contracts.
There are 4x more cases of head and neck cancer as testicular cancer. It covers a complex and wide range of cancers which are notoriously difficult to diagnose, covering as they do, over 30 different types including tongue, lip, gums, soft palate, base of tongue, throat, sinuses, salivary glands and lymph nodes.
We would like to thank all our supporters for coming along to the annual Glory of Christmas carol concert, and for supporting Oracle Cancer Trust at this our eighth annual concert at St. John’s Smith Square. We were honoured to be joined by our patron, HRH Princess Alexandra, who we thank wholeheartedly for all her support.
Thank you also to Keith Marshall and the Thames Chamber Orchestra, David Rowland, Onyx Brass and the Choir of Christ’s College, Cambridge for helping to make the evening so special. It was a festive evening of carols, heart-warming readings from patients Keith Hern and Peter Earnshaw and wonderful music from choir, orchestra and ensemble.
The beautiful flowers were provided by Mari Lawrence and her team from Seasons Florist, Wimbledon. Mari has kindly offered to donate 10% of every sale to Oracle.
The evening was a huge success and from everyone at Oracle Cancer Trust we wish you all a very merry Christmas.
