Simon to skydive 18 times in memory of Iron Maiden Tour Manager

On February 2nd, supporter Simon Ward will start a mammoth charity challenge for Oracle.
Simon will be taking on not one… not two… but 18 solo skydive parachute jumps, raising money for head and neck cancer research – no mean feat.

Not only is Simon taking on 18 jumps but he’s doing it from 13,000 feet and with a fear of heights!
Simon is undertaking the jumps in memory of Steve Gadd (pictured), former Tour Manager of internationally acclaimed band Iron Maiden, who died from cancer in 2013.

Says Simon, ‘This isn’t just for Steve; it’s also to help any person and their families faced with cancer… I would do a 1000 jumps from a plane if it meant this illness could be destroyed.’

Simon has set himself a £20,000 target for his jumps and has kick-started his fundraising in January on JustGiving.
