Asian Achievers Awards Night raises over £80k for Oracle

Over 900 people including stars of sport, media and business from the Asian Community attended the 18th Asian Achievers Awards at The Grosvenor House in September.  Oracle was chosen as beneficiary charity as head and neck cancer is the number one cause of cancer in India and Pakistan, yet awareness and outcomes are extremely poor.

We were overwhelmed with the support of donors who gave so generously for the live auction at the event - the star lot being a tour drum, signed by rock legends The Rolling Stones.  Other prizes included a luxury train tour in India, luxury multi-centre Kenyan safari, a holiday in St Lucia and a fine dining experience.  Author Lord Jeffrey Archer took the stage for the live auction which resulted in some lively bidding.

We were delighted that the sum raised was over £80,000 from the live auction prizes and pledges made on the evening to support our work.  We are incredibly grateful to the team at Asian Business Publications for supporting us and for a fantastic evening.
