People diagnosed with these cancer face treatments that can have debilitating side-effects on speaking and eating and can lead to lifelong disfigurement. It is currently the sixth most common here in the UK and the most common cancer in developing countries, with more than half of the world’s 500,000 cases each year in the Asia Pacific region.

Your gift could bring hope to people diagnosed and their families this festive season. Any donation is gratefully welcomed and some examples of what your support could help achieve are below;

• £100 could fund essential lab equipment like pipettes that accurately measure chemicals for experiments
• £1,000 could fund an Oracle post-doctoral scientist spending a week in a lab, genetically engineering a cancer-killing virus or looking for better diagnostic tools.
• £10,000 could fund a whole year of consumables for one of our lab projects, such as disposable equipment like test tubes and more expensive antibodies.
