National Cancer Research Institute looking for members

The National Cancer Research Institute are looking to recruit new consumers affected by head and neck cancer to join the National Cancer Research Institute’s Clinical Studies Groups (CSGs). Each CSG meets at least twice a year and a number of the Groups have Subgroups and/or Working Parties, cialis which meet in the intervals between the main Group meetings. Many of the Groups also host national clinical trials meetings of between 100 and 250 delegates. Consumer members participate in all aspects of the CSGs activities and are expected to provide written updates for each CSG meeting. CSG consumers also have membership of the NCRI Consumer Forum.

 The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) is a UK-wide partnership between government, charity and industry, which promotes co-operation in cancer research among its 18 member organisations for the benefit of patients, the public and the scientific community. The NCRI collaborates closely with the National Institute for Health Research Clinical Research Network Cancer (NIHR CRN Cancer) on a range of issues that directly impact on the quality and management of cancer research; this includes recruitment, training and support for patient and carer members of the 19 NCRI Clinical Studies Groups (CSGs) and support for the activities of the consumer forum. NCRI involves patients, carers and others affected by cancer in activities wherever appropriate. This consumer involvement is closely linked to the NIHR CRN programme for Patient and Public involvement (PPI).
