Many of our supporters have first-hand experience of being treated for head and neck cancer. Each of them has an intensely personal story of their cancer battle and their treatment journey. There are over 30 types of head and neck cancer and each carries their own challenges of treatment and the after-effects of how the vital senses of taste, smell and swallowing can be so affected.
Here is just a selection of our patient stories, written by people who have been through the experience of diagnosis and treatment. If you would find it helpful to talk to any of these patients, please do get in touch with us – you can call on 020 3875 8991 or email us and we will put you in touch.
If you are a patient or have previously been treated for head and neck cancer who would be happy to talk about your experiences to help others, we would love to hear from you.
Would you like to join a regional support group and share your experiences of head and neck cancer? Are you undergoing treatment and would like to join a small group that supports each other through the cancer journey? Oracle works with national support organisation Heads2gether, a voluntary group which provides practical and emotional support. To learn more please visit their website find out more.
